This weekend was a good one. The kind of weekend when Black gets to meet people and, as usual, they are some of the smartest gamers out there. We exhibited within the RGDA booth, which was packed with Romanian games developed by Kappsule, Scorpius Games, Alien Pixel, Very Simple Ideas, T-Me Games and Amber with its magic Carbon.
It was such a nice feeling to introduce Black The Fall to the younger Romanian audience, as the average age must have been below 20. For instance we have David, an 8 years old who just blew our mind when he finished the demo in 20 minutes. Then there were two girls (friends) who started to play the game at the same time and, the entire one hour and a half they spent on figuring out he game, they helped each other and patiently tried out all possibilities to make sense of the puzzles.
It was definitely overwhelming to see how well Black The Fall was received by the younger audience especially when they'd tell us things like "This is not my type of game, but I loved it" or when we saw them coming over and over again bringing friends to try it out.
We simply loved to see them caught in the process of solving puzzles and proud of themselves for finding solutions. Paradoxically, this is how a dark game brings joy, I guess :)
It was all fun and games, but there are some serious matters as well: the contest. Random.org has decided who the winners are and they have already been notified. So congrats: Mircea, Mihai, Andrei, Razvan and Catia for your Black The Fall keys and congrats Alexandru for winning the statue :)
So, hope to see the rest of you this week at Unite Europe or in two weeks at E3. Full steam ahead for a #revolution!
